Loving the change......

The temperatures are slowly starting to drop thank heavens! I so love those nights where there is a breeze and you can snuggle up under the blankets! We still have some hot days ahead I am sure, but they are becoming fewer by the day.

This morning a friend & I went to "Riversedge Cafe" for breakfast.

Overlooking the Swan river it is a pretty place to sit, relax and eat! The service was wonderful, the food great, who could wish for more?

Following brekky we walked a few metres to a childs playground where my friends young one played with new friends and we sat on the lawn watching and relaxing......a great way to spend the morning:)

The garden really is beginning to work at paying back all that time I put in.

Yesterdays harvest was a real mix of goodies, check out the purple carrots and the pink cherry tomatoes!  I have to say, after trying the carrots, I am not that fussed and wouldn't grow them again.

The pomegranate is putting out so many fruits, as is the yellow cherry guava and strawberry guava. The indian cream guava is putting out lots of budding fruits, the fig tree is loaded too.

The 2 year old chilli bush is still producing madly. For all the picking it just keeps on going, new flowers seem to be forever appearing.

We have 4 new chickens with 2 very protective bantam mothers. They really are great at watching out for them, and will instantly move them into hiding if they think you are getting too close!

This weekend not much got done in the garden, so next week is planting time, I want to get that amaranth in!

Enjoy the week ahead & take care:)

Wow look at those Pomegranates! I have planted 2 but how long I will have to wait for fruit I do not know. I got flowers this year I guess that is a start.
I too am loving the drop in temperature.
